Fire department investigating after blaze destroys Baton Rouge duplex

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) -- A duplex is a total loss after an early Friday morning fire tore through the building.
The Baton Rouge Fire Department responded at 4:10 a.m. to the 12000 block of Robbie Avenue, finding fire coming out of the roof.
All occupants of the building were safe outside and firefighters went to work putting the blaze out. Eight total units, four pumpers and one ladder were used to extinguish the fire. It took firefighters almost 45 minutes to get the fire under control.
There were no reported injuries.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
The Baton Rouge Police Department, EMS, Entergy and The Red Cross also responded to the scene.
