COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – The Ohio State running back who scored three touchdowns in the College Football Playoff championship game will turn pro this spring. According to multiple sources, Quinshon Judkins is leaving Ohio State early and will declare for the NFL Draft this April. Judkins, ranked as the No. 5 overall running back in this years draft class, according to ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr., rushed for 100 yards on 11 carries in the Buckeyes’ 34-23 victory over Notre Dame in the CFP title game at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium last week. No. 12 Ohio State rallies from 15-point deficit to beat No. 8 Maryland Judkins, who confirmed the news via social media, scored twice on the ground and caught two passes for 21 yards, plus a third touchdown in the game. For the season, Judkins totaled 1,060 yards rushing, adding 161 receiving yards and had 16 touchdowns. Judkins accomplished this while sharing backfield duties with TreVeyon Henderson, who Kiper Jr. has ranked No. 9 among running backs. The Mississippi transfer spent just one season at Ohio State, which now must replace its starting backfield. Judkins amassed 4,227 total yards from scrimmage and 50 touchdowns over his three-year college career.
