INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A bright but cold end to the workweek. We will see highs well below normal for this time of year. Temperatures warm up heading this way for the weekend
TODAY: Single digit readings early this morning with wind chill values near zero. We will see a bright but cold day across much of central Indiana. Look for mostly sunny skies with high temperatures only into the lower 20s. Normal high for this time of year right around 36. Winds should be fairly light out of the west at 5 to 10 mph.
TONIGHT: Winds do pick up later tonight and may gust at 15 miles per hour. Look for mostly cloudy skies with low temperatures falling into the middle teens.
SATURDAY: Warmer temperatures head this way for the weekend but we will see mainly cloudy skies. On Saturday a cold front moves across the state bringing cloud cover with it. We could see maybe a few isolated flurries. High temperatures climb into the mid and upper 30s flirting with 40 degrees. Winds will be out of the southwest and may gust upwards of 20 miles per hour.
SUNDAY: Lots of cloud cover to end the weekend on Sunday. High temperatures drop below normal right around 30 .
Mostly sunny skies for your Monday with high temperatures beginning to climb into the mid and upper thirties.
7 DAY EXTENDED FORECAST: The quiet weather pattern does continue for the new workweek. Lots of sunshine on your Tuesday with high temperatures climbing above normal near 40. Much of the day on Wednesday will be dry and highs will be close to 40 degrees. There’s a weak system that will pass through Wednesday evening and may bring us a chance for a few snow showers. Temperatures Thursday fall into the middle 30s which is right around normal for this time of the year.
