RIPTA faces $32M deficit, possible service cuts under McKee's budget

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Rhode Island Governor Dan McKee's proposed budget for the 2026 fiscal year has been public for one week, and while the governor is proudly touting "no broad-based tax increases," some state agencies are less thrilled.
The Boston Globe Rhode Island's Ed Fitzpatrick joined 12 News at 4 to talk about the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority's allocation, and why transit advocates say it's not enough.
