When they say, “it ain’t over til’ it’s over” that’s because it’s true! And on Thursday night, Chamberlain proved why you can never truly say a game is out of reach until the final buzzer sounds. Trailing by 19-points entering the fourth quarter, the Cubs knew the would need not only a lot of scoring, but also some great defense and a couple bounces to go their way. Well, both the offense and the defense answered the call for Chamberlain as they rallied all the way back from down 19 to tie it up at 46 with 2:00 minutes left. The defense had also done their part by forcing 17 Miller turnovers in the second half which was a huge factor in this comeback. Almost shellshocked, the Rustlers couldn’t reign in the Cubs in time and Chamberlain absolutely exploded in the 4th quarter, scoring 27-points to Millers 9, and winning the game 54-53. Kansas Honomichl-Rouse and Riddik Big Eagle both finished with double-digits for the Cubs, and Tel Hawk had seven in the 4th to boost the Cubs to this crazy win. Darren Boyle, who called the game and has seen decades worth of high school basketball, said, “In all my years of calling games, this was one of the craziest comebacks I have ever seen.”
