Deer Valley Resort has announced Alli Macuga as the newest member of its team of sponsored athletes. “At just 21 years old, Macuga has quickly become a standout in the world of mogul skiing, demonstrating exceptional talent, determination, and a bright future on the slopes.,” Deer Valley said in a statement. Macuga is originally from Park City and is part of a family of athletes. Her two sisters compete in World Cup circuits, and her younger brother aspires to join them, according to Deer Valley. She’s also a student at the University of Utah.Macuga made her World Cup debut in December 2022 in Ruka, Finland, where she placed 12th. She went on to achieve four top-10 finishes during the 2022-23 season, including a career-best fourth place at the Almaty World Cup, according to Deer Valley. She claimed the 2022-23 NorAm Cup moguls and dual moguls overall titles, secured a full-time World Cup start for the following season, and was named the 2023 FIS Rookie of the Year. In the 2023-24 season, Macuga landed on the podium twice, earning a second-place finish in moguls at Almaty and a third-place finish in dual moguls at Alpe d’Huez.
