RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- After a record turnout in 2024, organizers of the Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10K are gearing up for another big year. Sports Backers held the "10K Reveal Day" event at the Ukrop's Market Hall on Wednesday, Jan. 22, revealing this year's finisher medal and participant shirt. (Photo courtesy of Sports Backers) This year's shirts and medals were designed by the Richmond-based branding and creative services agency, Think, for the second year in a row. “The Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k presented by Kroger has become a truly iconic Richmond event,” said Meghan Keogh, Race Director of the Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k. “We know how important race day swag is to all our participants, and we want these items to capture the spirit of the event. Think did a phenomenal job creating designs that runners and walkers will treasure for years to come. We’re excited to see everyone in their 10k shirts around town after event day.” In 2024, the race included 24,000 participants -- adding to the 500,000+ runners and walkers that have participated since the race's debut in 2000.
