DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) -- Two have been injured after colliding head-on with a school bus Thursday. According to a release from the DeKalb County Sheriff's Department, an initial investigation revealed that a pickup truck heading west on US 6 lost control due to slick roads. The pickup truck crossed into the other lane, colliding head-on with a school bus. The school bus then went off the roadway into an embankment, while the pickup truck came to rest north of the roadway. Both the driver and the passenger of the pickup truck were trapped inside the vehicle. They were extradited and transported to an area hospital via ambulance. The driver of the school bus was not injured in the crash. No children were on the bus when the crash occurred.
