RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C.(WOLO)– First shift crews worked to put out a kitchen fire at a home in northeast Richland County on Thursday evening, said CRFD.
According to the fire department, firefighters were dispatched to a house on Karnvilla Court shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday.
Everyone made it out of the house safely. Firefighters said the fire was found in the kitchen.
The home suffered fire damages in the kitchen and smoke damages throughout the property.
One firefighter suffered a minor injury while the crew was working on the fire, and three people and one pet were left displaced.
The cause of the fire was traced to cooking, said the Columbia-Richland Fire Department.
