BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A panel focusing on physical health, mental health and a connection to spirituality is being happening Thursday evening at the Church of God in east Bakersfield. The event on Jan. 23 will cover Blue Zones Project Bakersfield's adopted Power 9 principles by Dan Buettner, which are nine lifestyle characteristics from the world's longest-lived communities align with faith to inspire a life of health, abundance and spiritual growth, according to Blue Zones Project Bakersfield Executive Director Susan Saelee. City officials host Old Town Kern Vision Plan meeting Saturday Spiritual connection is vital in maintaining hope to keep living healthy and productive life, according to Whitley Robinson, Director of Communications and Special Events, Church of God Bakersfield.
