Skiing is often a family affair, and those looking to bring the little ones to the slopes might want to consider finding a resort with amenities that cater to that age group. The good news for Coloradans is they don’t have to travel far to find mountains for all ages.
The app OnTheSnow recently ranked the top 19 skiing destinations in North America for families based on user reviews. Colorado resorts claimed five spots on the list, including the top two.
OnTheSnow listed Keystone Resort as the best family-friendly destination, touting its free parking, free gear wagons to haul equipment and kid-centric activities like the Mountaintop Snow Fort, a winter playground made of snow complete with slides, caves and a tubing hill.

Similarly, Beaver Creek Resort (No. 13) boasts “terrain for all abilities and kid adventure zones scattered around the resort,” OnTheSnow said.
Lastly, OnTheSnow touted Winter Park Ski Resort (No. 16) and its winter activities that go beyond skiing, such as ice bumper cars, tubing, ice fishing, and meet and greets with the Safety Patrol Dog Team.
