WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - One of Wichita's longest-running dining traditions continues.
On Wednesday, the people of St. Paul's United Methodist Church spent the day preparing for the 78th annual chicken noodle dinner fundraiser.
Volunteers cooked and deboned 1,000 pounds of chicken. On Thursday, they will prepare 30 gallons of gravy.
"It's a big job, but we're happy to do it, and we talk about it all year. What are we gonna do better next year? It's just a lot of fun," Rob Scott, dinner organizer, said.
