The James Beard Foundation has announced its 2025 Restaurant and Chef Award semifinalists, and Tupelo chef and owner Matthew Harris is one of them.The foundation will announce nominees on April 2 at the James Beard Restaurant and winners on June 16 at the Lyric Opera of Chicago.The James Beard Awards recognize “exceptional talent in the culinary and food media industries,” the foundation said, “as well as a demonstrated commitment to equity, sustainability, and creating a culture where all can thrive.”The semifinalists include people across 25 categories.
