Hartford police investigate apparent kidnapping of woman

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Hartford police Thursday say they're searching for a vehicle allegedly involved in an apparent kidnapping of an adult woman.
The vehicle is a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe with a Rhode Island license plate reading "1YD 582."

As of 10 a.m., officers said they were actively investigating in the area of 754 Maple Ave. in Hartford, where they say the kidnaping allegedly occurred. The address is home to a Dunkin Donuts.
News 8 spoke to an employee in Dunkin Donuts who said she witnessed the abduction, describing a man physically dragging the woman outside of the Dunkin.

Employees ran out to try and stop him, but he took off with her, the employee said.
Police said the vehicle was last seen in Glastonbury and is believed to be heading in the direction of Rhode Island.
