Police: Suspect in deadly Norfolk shooting arrested in Richmond

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) -- 31-year-old Ramon Bishop was arrested and accused of murder in the death of a 24-year-old in Norfolk, police said.

On Nov. 9, around 8:45 p.m., for the report of a gunshot victim. Officers arrived to find a 22-year-old man hurt, but not in critical condition, and transported him to a hospital. Meanwhile, the second man they found was suffering a life-threatening gunshot wound. 24-year-old Darius Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following their investigation, homicide detectives have charged Ramon I. Bishop, 31, with second-degree murder, malicious wounding and two counts of use of a firearm.
Bishop was arrested in Richmond on Jan. 21 with the assistance of the US Marshal Service.
He is currently being held in the Henrico County Jail without bond.
