MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A man was taken into custody after police say he shot and killed his brother. On Sunday, at around 8:30 a.m., the Memphis Police Department responded to a shooting in the 600 block of Burdette Avenue. Suspect detained after fatal Frayser shooting Reports say a woman on the scene told police that Edward Bowdery and his brother Edmund Bowdery were arguing before the shooting. She said Edmund went into his room and shut the door, but Edward followed him and fired several shots through Edmund's bedroom door. Edward fled the area on foot after the shooting, but he was taken into custody shortly afterward in the 500 block of Orchard Avenue. He was charged with First Degree Murder and Evading Arrest. His bond has not been set but he is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday morning.
