INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The bitter cold temperatures have exited this state. We are still seeing chilly conditions for today and tomorrow but a warm up heads this way for the weekend.
TODAY: Mostly cloudy skies today and early on we could see a few flurries across parts of the state. Little to no accumulation is expected possibility of a dusting of snow in some locations. Cloudy skies for the first part of the day today but some sunshine moves in later this afternoon. Temperatures today will climb into the upper twenties right around 30 degrees. Wind chill values will stay in the positive territory for the day today. We will see winds out of the west and northwest at 8 to 15 mph some spots could see gusts near 20 mph.
TONIGHT: Clouds begin to clear later tonight and it turns cold. Winds begin to subside a little bit and temperatures begin to tank. Lows will fall into the single digits.
FRIDAY: High pressure moves in for your Friday meaning lots of sunshine. It will remain on the chilly side with temperatures well below normal for this time of the year. We will see high temperatures into the lower 20s on your Friday. Friday night we will fall into the mid teens for overnight lows.
WARMER WEEKEND
Warmer conditions heading this way for the weekend finally temperatures near normal. Mostly cloudy skies on Saturday with highs right around 37. Clouds continue to stick around for the end of the weekend with highs near freezing.
7 DAY EXTENDED FORECAST: A quiet weather pattern in store for the weekend and also into the beginning of next week. Even warmer temperatures head in our direction for the new work week. Monday look for mostly sunny skies with highs near 35. High temperatures climb above normal for the first time in a long time in the month of January. We’ll look for mostly sunny skies both Tuesday and Wednesday with highs in the lower 40s.
