Friend of Officer Michael Horan describes who he was
Multiple law enforcement agencies will escort the ride, and the route will travel to the Food Lion on Lawndale Drive, where Horan was shot and killed in December, and end at the Kickback Jack's on Battleground.
Travelers should expect traffic backups and delays in these areas, and are encouraged to find alternate routes around the city. Bystanders are welcome to line up in safe areas by overpasses or other visible, safe areas to show support for the ride.
Horan was shot and killed after responding to a call at the Lawndale Food Lion. Tarell Isaac McMillian, who was working as an InstaCart driver at the time, was later arrested and charged in Horan's death after a chase through multiple counties.
