Wisconsin man seriously hurt following crash involving semitractor trailer truck

ELBA, Wis. (WFRV) - Authorities say one man is seriously hurt following a crash involving a semi-tractor trailer truck Wednesday night in Wisconsin.
According to a release from the Dodge County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded at 7:55 p.m. to US Highway 151 just a half mile south of State Highway 73 in the township of Elba for a reported crash.
Officials say a 2003 GMC Envoy was being driven south on US Highway 151 when it lost control, slid through the median, and crashed into a 2022 Freightliner semi-tractor trailer in the northbound lane.

The driver of the 2003 GMC Envoy, a 45-year-old man from Deerfield, was ejected from the crash and was taken to the hospital where he faces serious life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the semi-tractor trailer truck, a 46-year-old man from Bondurant, Iowa, was not hurt in the crash and was released at the scene.
At this time, no other details are available and an investigation into the incident remains ongoing through the Dodge County Sheriff's Office.
