KANNAPOLIS, N.C. –  Kannapolis Police are investigating the accidental death of a child, according to a news release. Police responded to a call on Cabarrus Arms Drive at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 23rd. Upon arrival, police say they witnessed a child suffering from a gunshot wound. Shortly after, the child was pronounced dead on scene. Further investigation determined the child was shot by a sibling, police say. Check back for updates.
