Discussion:
The Arctic High will continue to dominate the region today with morning lows in the teens. Black ice a concern for the morning commute on side roads and sidewalks, but most if not all of the snow will melt this afternoon as highs finally get above freezing.Cloudy today ahead of a weekend cold front tonight that will bring some snow for the mountains leading to little to no accumulation.
Zonal flow this weekend means a slow warm up is in store this weekend with highs back in the mid 40s Friday and reaching seasonable highs in the low 50s by Sunday. Our next big weather maker arrives late Sunday into Monday bringing a potential wintry mix for the mountains, but a cold rain for the rest of the area. Temperatures will finally warm back above average with highs near 60 by midweek.
