BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) -- From breaking tables, to dancing to the "Shout" song, the Buffalo Zoo is not "Lion" when they claim they're feeling the Buffalo Bills spirit.
"Everybody coming together, it's what Buffalo is, it's the community," said zoo communications and marketing manager Christian Dobosiewicz. "We'd still be doing Bill enrichment no matter what we were doing, but I think it's extra special this year."
Animal keepers at the Buffalo Zoo plan enrichment activities for their animals. In honor of the Bills playoff run, they've been Bills themed lately.
"It's a bit of cognitive enrichment for them, as well as physical enrichment. It's something that will help stimulate their brain every day and let them interact with objects that they may not interact with everyday," said Kelsey Lowery, an animal keeper with the Buffalo Zoo. "The animals love enrichment every day, it gives them a new experience just like when I walk into the Zoo, everybody is having a new experience every day so I think it would be something that they really look forward to."
They've created jerseys, goalposts, and even shared a photo of who they believe is the "Greatest of All Time" with actual goats at their heritage farm.
They've been posting these interactions on social media, adding some "Pawsitive" posts to fans' feeds during the playoff run.
"I think we're really trying to boost morale around the city this time, and hope that we can make it to the next round," said Lowery.
If you would like to see these animals in person, the Zoo is open seven days a week, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. For more information, visit their website here.
