We'll have updates for you here as we learn more.Original storyThere is a large police presence, including Oregon State Police and Malheur County Sheriff's Office, on Highway 201 and Owyhee Avenue in Nyssa, Oregon. Our latest report indicates there is a standoff currently underway between police and a shooter. Streets are currently closed in the area, including Highway 201. Neighbors told our reporter on the scene that multiple shots were fired around 5 p.m. The Malhuer County Sheriff's Office says the incident began at approximately 2 p.m and that neighbors' cars and houses were hit by the gunfire. Neighbors also indicated that some people have been evacuated. Investigators have yet to confirm details regarding the incident as police have yet to secure the area.
