BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A Kern County man accused of sexually abusing multiple children was arrested in Chicago as he tried to board a flight to Mexico, according to sheriff's officials. Bryan Munoz was arrested Jan. 16 and is awaiting extradition to Bakersfield to face seven counts related to the sexual abuse of minors -- including children 10 or younger, officials said. Bail was set at $3.3 million. Kern Valley State Prison inmate found guilty of assault An investigation into Munoz, 36, began in November after detectives received reports of multiple juvenile victims. "Munoz evaded law enforcement and fled Kern County during the initial investigation," officials said in a release. Detectives worked with Chicago Airport Police and Homeland Security to take him into custody before he boarded the plane.
