Weekend Watch: Lord of the Rings Day WWE SmackDown returns

AUSTIN (KXAN) - This weekend is looking eventful for anyone wanting to get out of the house after staying indoors. WWE is back in town with its Friday Night SmackDown show with plenty of WWE Superstars while Lord of the Rings fans can enjoy a free and family-friendly trip to The Shire.
Showers are expected to return Saturday night, with temperatures slowly warming up into the upper 50s and low 60s. A front is expected to arrive at the start of the next week.

The return of WWE to Austin is something many wrestling fans have been waiting for. Roman Reigns is now the undisputed Tribal Chief and is also now in possession of the Ula Fala. Cody Rhodes continues his reign as the undisputed WWE Heavyweight Champion, and Tiffany Stratton retains the WWE Women's title against Bailey.

The show returns to the Moody Center this Friday, January 22. Tickets are available online now.
Can't make it?-- WWE will be in San Antonio on Saturday for their Saturday Night's Main Event.

BookPeople's Lord of the Rings Day
Get ready to get as close to The Shire as possibly can. BookPeople in Austin is hosting their Lord of the Rings Day filled with music, books, donuts, cosplay, a scavenger hunt, and even a round of Dungeons and Dragons!

Located on North Lamar in Austin, BookPeople is going all out for this free event geared for the entire family. There will also be trivia for everyone to take part in as well. J.R.R. Tolkien's epic masterpiece took 60 years to complete, but you can enjoy it with other fans this Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
