ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – A Rochester woman was found shot in a car that was crashed on Otis Street in the city Wednesday night, police said. Photos from the scene Wednesday evening. According to the Rochester Police Department, the 27-year-old woman was found by officers on Otis Street near Myrtle Street around 8 p.m. as they responded to reports of a crash in the area. Preliminarily, officers said they believe she crashed after she was shot but could not confirm any further details. No other injuries were reported. The woman was taken to the hospital to be treated for at least one gunshot wound. Police on scene initially said she had life-threatening injuries, but in an updated release sent out around 10:30 p.m. officers said her injuries were considered "life-altering." As the investigation continues, anyone with information is asked to call 911. The portion of Otis Street shut down is expected to be closed for roughly another hour, police said.
