College Wrap: TCNJ men’s basketball topples William Paterson

EWING — Nick Koch scored 21 points to lead five in double figures and the TCNJ men’s basketball team made it back-to-back NJAC wins with a 93-76 victory over Willam Paterson on Wednesday night at Packer Hall.
Matthew Solomon and Matthew Okorie both finished with 14 points and Jonathan Okocha and David Alexandre had 12 each for the Lions (13-4, 6-4).
TCNJ only made nine of the 32 3-pointers it launched, but it crashed the glass for 24 offensive rebounds that led to 27 second-chance points. Solomon and Okorie both had double-doubles by hauling down 14 and 11 boards, respectively.
Andre Wells and Jianni Moran tallied 17 points each for the Pioneers (5-12, 1-9).
Women’s Basketball
TCNJ 69, William Paterson 54
EWING — Grace Kowalski scored 15 points, Arianna McCleod added 12 and the Lions (12-5, 8-2) caught fire from downtown by making 11-of-24 from beyond the arc to pull away from the Pioneers (12-5, 8-2) and snap a two-game skid.
The victory pulled TCNJ even William Paterson for the top spot in the NJAC.
