Jan 22, 2025
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- We left the deep freeze… temperatures Wednesday morning compared to Tuesday morning were around 40 degrees warmer. Even with the colder air expected tonight, it won't last and it will not be as cold.

As the bitter cold left, hopefully it was easier for you to get outside and your car didn't strain to start as it may have done over the past couple of days.
Here's a look at some of the overnight lows in KELOLAND from Saturday through Tuesday.
As you can see, some of the coldest air arrived Monday and Tuesday morning when temperatures fell to the teens and low 20s below zero.
All four of the mornings averaged out to temperatures in the teens below zero.
We do return below zero for parts of eastern KELOLAND tonight with temperatures falling to the single digits below zero. But, it will only last for one day as warmer temperatures will quickly return.
