One dead in crash on Lamar near I240

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — One person is dead and two in critical condition after a wreck on Lamar near I-240 late Wednesday. Police responded to the two-vehicle crash at 8:47. One person was pronounced deceased on the scene, two were transported to the hospital critical, and one was transported to the hospital non-critical, police said. Police asked drivers to avoid the area.
