KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Two small business owners team up and impress the Kansas City Chiefs with a big, sweet masterpiece. They made Arrowhead Stadium in the form of a cake for the AFC playoffs. Two artists teamed up to tackle an Arrowhead Stadium replica, made from cake. It took two days to decorate. Then, it took two hours to transport the cake in the car to Arrowhead Stadium. “Most of the stuff you see is modeling chocolate,” Mike Elder said, showing off his latest creation, an Andy Reid cake. Kansas City area artist enhances Chiefs art display ahead of AFC Championship Elder made "Big Red" out of modeling chocolate and cake, complete with headphones and the mustache. Start to finish, he said it took him about four hours. “Instead of, ‘How ‘bout them Chiefs’, he says, ‘How ‘bout them cakes.’” Elder owns Black Sheep Custom Cakes. He’s also turned-out KC Wolf, Patrick Mahomes and Jason Kelce. This cake artist has been on more than a dozen TV shows and he enjoys teaming up with Cami SanRomani, building edible works of art. Together they hold two Guinness World Records. Their latest masterpiece, an Arrowhead Stadium replica. “When we make these massive cakes, Mike is the mastermind. He can see the shape. He can start digging into cake and it starts taking shape very, very quickly,” SanRomani said. “I do all the details and that's what makes us such a great team.” Elder tackles the big picture, while SanRomani covers the details from the jumbotron and signs to the fans and markings on the field. SanRomani said just decorating this cake took two days. “It's really fun to create stuff like this, to deliver it to people that you know are diehard fans, and they know what the stadium looks like. So, it's really got to be right,” Elder said. “Its' really great and it's been shared and people have been so happy with it. It's like winning the super bowl.”They built the cake in Cami's shop. She owns Cami's Cake Co. in Council Grove. Another challenge they had to overcome -- a two-hour road trip -- transporting this massive cake to Arrowhead Stadium. Cami said they drove slowly, and it was worth it hearing positive fan feedback. “Everybody that walked in would joke, not even hearing someone else,” SanRomani said. “They would say, ‘Oh, that's me sitting right there.’ So, it's fun.” Elder said it was a smooth delivery to the signature suites. This cake could feed 350 to 400 people. “Gracie hunt posted it on her page, talking about how great it was, and I had a few pieces of it too,” Elder said. “It was good.” End Zone Extra: Get the top Chiefs news and insider features all season long According to PEOPLE, Gracie Hunt said Travis Kelce also had Cami’s Cake Co. make Taylor Swift’s birthday cake. As the Chiefs chase the Lamar Hunt Trophy this weekend, Elder believes their cakes bring good luck. “It just happens to turn out that whenever we do a large cake, the chiefs usually win,” Elder said. “Not saying it's our fault, but we'll take it if we can.” Cami said she and Elder are working on another order for the Chiefs, some 2,500 cookies and cupcakes for the AFC Championship game this weekend.
