The event aimed to teach participants how to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose and effectively administer Narcan, a medication that can reverse the effects of opioids and save lives. The session welcomed 20 community members. Attendees received hands-on instruction from public health professionals, who broke down the process step by step. They also learned how to identify the warning signs of an overdose, such as slowed breathing, unresponsiveness, or blue lips or fingernails.
