DUBLIN, Ohio (WCMH) -- The "Doritos Crash the Super Bowl" contest is back after an eight-year hiatus and a Dublin native is a finalist to get his commercial aired during the big game. Dylan Bradshaw graduated from Dublin Coffman High School in 2015 and said it has always been his dream to be a film director with millions of people seeing his work. When he realized the Doritos contest was returning, he and his co-director Nate Norell decided to enter. “We found out about the contest and we had less than a month to submit. So we just jumped into action. We brainstormed for like a week and a half,” said Bradshaw. “We wrote up over 50 ideas, drafted different Doritos concepts.” Bradshaw and Norell ended up going with an idea called “Abduction” where an alien fanatic  wrestles with a UFO over a bag of Doritos. Out of thousands of entries, their commercial was picked to be in the finals. Which Ohio State players from the title-winning roster are returning “This quite literally could be life changing for us. I myself want to, it’d be really cool to represent Dublin and Coffman,” said Bradshaw. If “Abduction” gets the most votes by next Tuesday, their 30-second Doritos commercial will air during Super Bowl LIX, winning them millions of dollars. “Yeah, young Dylan and Nate would be freaking out right,” said Bradshaw. Co-director Nate Norell said, “Hey, adult Nate’s freaking out right now.” “Yeah, I’m freaking out right now,” said Bradshaw. The co-directors are asking for the support of central Ohio to make their dream a reality. “I googled it, I think it would cost around $7 million to show a Super Bowl ad in 30 seconds which is absurd. To show this to 200 million people, at least, worldwide would be life changing,” said Bradshaw. The last day to vote for Bradshaw’s commercial “Abduction” is Jan. 28 and the winner will be announced on Feb. 3. People can vote once a day, every day up until the deadline. Super Bowl LIX will take place Feb. 9 in New Orleans, Louisiana at 6:30 p.m. The winner of the NFC Championship between the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders will face the AFC Championship winner between the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills.
