VISALIA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Several businesses in Visalia were warned after the Visalia Police Department conducted tobacco compliance inspections throughout the city.
Police say the inspections conducted on Tuesday were to ensure the businesses were in compliance with California State Laws surrounding tobacco product sales.
As a result of the inspections, officers report nine businesses received warnings for selling flavored tobacco products while three businesses were given warnings for failing to display a valid California Cigarette & Tobacco Products License.
Police say they will continue to conduct tobacco decoy and compliance inspections throughout the year to ensure businesses are following regulations.
