FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A 40-year-old woman from Winton died in a crash in Madera County Wednesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol. CHP says the crash happened around 10:18 a.m. at Avenue 7 1/2 and Avenue 7. Atwater man ejected, killed in rollover crash, CHP says Investigators say the driver of a Nissan was traveling westbound on Avenue 7 and failed to stop at a stop sign and was hit by a Ford F-250 truck that was going north on Avenue 7 1/2. CHP says the woman died at the scene; the driver of the truck was not injured. Both drivers involved were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Officers say the driver who died was a 40-year-old woman from Winton but her name has not been officially released.
