A woman died after being separated from her snowmobiling group on Monday.According to Sergeant Skyler Talbot with Summit County Sheriff’s Office, a group of snowmobilers were recreating in the Thousand Peak Ranch area near Weber Canyon Road when one of them noticed someone was missing. They backtracked and found their missing member, a woman in her early 30s, lying on the ground and unresponsive near her snowmobile. Members of the group performed CPR and alerted the Sheriff’s Office.“Search and Rescue and patrol deputies were able to reach the victim,” Talbot said, “and they assisted in transporting her to a medical helicopter that was waiting nearby, and the individual was flown to a Salt Lake area hospital later that day.” The woman was pronounced dead at the hospital. The cause of death is unclear.“We are waiting for information from the medical examiners office,” Talbot said. “That’ll help determine again whether this was a medical episode while she was on the snowmobile or if there was some other injury that could’ve been caused by a snowmobile crash.”The post Woman dies in snowmobiling incident near Thousand Peak Ranch appeared first on Park Record.
