NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Temperatures are gradually warming into the low to mid 30s this afternoon but that will not be enough to get rid of all the ice and snow. Please stay off the roads again today until they are clear. Widespread ice will linger through the day and tonight. Any moisture left on the roads tonight will refreeze by Thursday morning. While it will be sunny today, temperatures will prevent a lot of the ice and snow from melting. You will need to run the faucets again overnight. We will see another hard freeze tonight with lows in the teens and 20s. Thursday afternoon will be back in the mid 40s which will allow things to finally clear out. We will stay dry through the rest of the week with overnight lows still cold, but daytime highs will be much warmer by Friday through the weekend.
