Water conservation notices in Lafourche Parish, New Orleans

LAFOURCHE PARISH, La. (WGNO) — Officials in Lafourche Parish and New Orleans are requesting that residents conserve water the day after a winter snowstorm covered parts of Southeast Louisiana.
In Lafourche Parish, the notice was issued by the Lafourche Parish Water District No. 1. It asks customers to refrain from non-essential water use until further notice.

The Water Conservation Notice was issued in response to the excessive demand on the water system during the winter storm and its aftermath.
The Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans issued a voluntary water conservation notice on Wednesday evening.
Boil water advisory issued for parts of Grand Isle
SWBNO officials said residents are being asked to avoid using appliances like dishwashers and washing machines.
