(File photo from Jeff Motz/KFOR News)LINCOLN–(KFOR Jan. 22)–The Lancaster County Ag Society on Wednesday announced that Ron Bohaty has been appointed as managing director of the Sandhills Global Event Center, promoted to that role last October. Bohaty previously served as the operations director since February 2024 and has been involved at the Event Center since 2017. “I’m honored to work with such a devoted group that organizes events attracting local, state, regional, and national audiences,” said Bohaty in a news release to KFOR. “The dedication and expertise of our team make it possible to deliver impactful events that benefit the community and beyond.” Cassandra Roeber has been named assistant managing director. She has a degree in animal science from UNL and has participated in and volunteered at 4H and other horse-related events since the Event Center opened in 2001.
