One dog dead after Wisconsin fire destroys home completely, all people accounted for

NIAGARA, Wis. (WFRV) - A fire on Tuesday afternoon resulted in a home being destroyed in northern Wisconsin along with the death of a dog.
According to a post from the City of Niagara's Facebook page, the Niagara Volunteer Fire Department was sent to the scene of a fire at around 2:50 p.m. on Forest Street and was joined by the Niagara Area Emergency Unit.

The Police Department and Public Works also joined in to assist in sanding roads that were covered in ice due to the water. While the fire was burning, Public Works officials tore down the house to let firefighters in the completely decimated house.
The crews saved the buildings around it and cleared the scene at 8:30 p.m. before crews went back to the site Wednesday morning to extinguish flames that reignited. All the people in the home were evacuated safely, however, one dog died as a result.
