FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) — Fort Wayne International Airport’s expansion can’t happen soon enough – as, last year, the airport saw record passenger traffic along with an increase in flights and larger capacity planes.
Officials say that nearly 857-thousand passengers came through the airport in 2024 and that there were just under 8 percent more flights.
2025 is already off to a great start with United adding a 4th flight to Chicago O’Hare and American using larger planes for Chicago flights.
Delta is adding a second nonstop flight to Detroit Metro on June 8th.
