EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Live Active El Paso will be holding its annual "Love Yourself, Love Your Heart" walk next month at Scenic Drive, celebrating American Heart Month, according to a press release from the City of El Paso. The City says the three-mile walk/run is free and starts at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 2at Scenic Drive's westside entrance. No registration is required. The event will kick off with a warm-up routine, followed by the walk/run, and will also feature wellness booths hosted by various community organizations.  At the event, the Hospitals of Providence will be providing free blood pressure screenings and provide essential heart health information as part of their “Be Your Own Heart Hero” campaign. Those who participate will receive Live Active swag such as a T-shirt, lanyards, cooling towels, and more. The City says every Sunday morning its Parks and Recreation Department closes Scenic Drive between Wheeling and Robinson to allow visitors to walk, run, cycle, or skateboard.
