CSPD seizes over a hundred pounds of methamphetamine

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said the Metro Narcotics Unit (MNU) has seized over a hundred pounds of methamphetamine.
According to CSPD, on Saturday, Jan. 18 MNU was notified that a vehicle carrying a large amount of meth could be coming into the Colorado Springs area. On Sunday, Jan. 19 CSPD looked into the vehicle's whereabouts and initiated a traffic stop on I-25.
An MNU Detective and K9 Nyx investigated the truck with an "open-air sniff" and K9 Nyx alerted to the presence of a trained odor coming from the truck. Police found three large bins in the truck bed and found in two of the bins had about 107.2 pounds of methamphetamine. The investigation is active and ongoing.
