Mt. Carmel Veterans hosts cribbage tournament
Jan 22, 2025
(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center along with Colonel Mustard's Sandwich Emporium are holding what they are calling the biggest cribbage event in the Pikes Peak Region.
On Feb. 15, "CRIBBAGEPALOOZA II" will be held at the Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center located at 530 Communication Circle. The tournament is to raise money for Mt. Carmel's mission supporting veterans.
Early registration is encouraged and tickets can be purchased online for $25 and include five raffle tickets. Tickets at the door are $35 and include one raffle ticket. Those who register will play five friendly round robin cribbage games and enjoy barbecue, sandwiches, soda, beer, and wine, all donated by local vendors.
In 2024, CRIBBAGEPALOOZA raised $1,000 for Mt. Carmel's mission and hope this year will see more than 60 register for the event.
“It’s a fun time for a great cause,” said Bob McLaughlin, executive director of Mt. Carmel. “Everything we make this night helps serve those who served our nation.”
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 15 with the tournament starting at 6 p.m.
