Waffle House remains open amid rare winter storm

MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCBD) - Waffle House continues to operate and serve customers even during a rare winter storm, keeping their griddles hot and serving customers.
The overnight storm blanketed the Lowcountry with snow, sleet, and ice, leading to many road closures. Despite this, Waffle House employees continued to serve Lowcountry residents.
Waffle House, a well-known chain restaurant in the South and the Midwest serves warm breakfast 24/7, even during hurricanes and, in this instance, winter storms.
Workers at Waffle House #1820 on Hwy 52 in Moncks Corner reassured customers that they are still open and ready to serve!
If you're hoping to order a patty melt, you may be out of luck as they are only serving a limited menu at this time. During storms, Waffle House offers a limited storm menu to ensure they can consistently provide food during severe weather.
