Man critically injured after crashing into parked car in Montgomery County, police say

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- Police in Montgomery County said a man was seriously injured after he crashed into a parked SUV early Wednesday morning.
According to the Montgomery County Department of Police, around 2:40 am. on Jan. 22, officers were called to the 9800 block of Cedar Lane for a crash.
Their preliminary investigation revealed that a man was driving a Ford Thunderbird when he collided with a parked SUV.
The impact of the crash forced the SUV to flip onto its roof and hit an unoccupied pickup truck.

Police said the driver of the Ford was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
As investigators worked on the scene, Cedar Lane was shut down from Interstate 495 to Saul Road on Wednesday morning.
Drivers are encouraged to find alternative routes until the scene is cleared.
Officers are still working to learn what led to the crash.
