SIOUX FALLS SD (KELO) -- Prince Harry stopped and thanked South Dakotan firefighters in southern California Monday afternoon.
The Duke of Sussex asked questions and talked with the group, according to a Facebook post from the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.

He also talked with CalFire personnel. SD firefighters were staged with CalFire in preparation for initial attack on any potential new starts, the post says.
Three volunteer fire departments from the state: Whispering Pines, Black Hawk, and Fairburn, are part of a task force assisting with the fight against the wildfires in the Los Angeles and southern California area, including the South Dakota Wildland Fire.
