SD firefighters were staged with CalFire in preparation for initial attack on any potential new starts, the post says. Three volunteer fire departments from the state: Whispering Pines, Black Hawk, and Fairburn, are part of a task force assisting with the fight against the wildfires in the Los Angeles and southern California area, including the South Dakota Wildland Fire.
