KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Police in Kansas City, Kansas are investigating an overnight homicide. Police found a man inside a home who had been shot and killed near Ruby Avenue and South Valley. Police were sent to the scene around 2:35 a.m. Wednesday. Massive fire destorys Independence apartment building Wednesday morning Police said other residents were home at the time of the shooting, and detectives were talking to them Wednesday morning, trying to find out what happened. It's not yet clear if the man lived at the house or his relationship with the others. No word yet on a suspect, but police say the crime scene is confined to the house.
