31yearold Shawano County man arrested following 13 mile police pursuit

ELDORADO, Wis. (WFRV) - A 31-year-old man was evaluated at a hospital and upon discharge will be taken to the Fond du Lac County Jail after leading officers on a high-speed chase.
According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office, the driver was identified as a man from Cecil and was the only person in the suspect vehicle. The incident occurred on Tuesday morning around 10:13 when a deputy was traveling south on I-41 near County Highway N in the Township of Eldorado.

The suspect vehicle sped past the deputy via the gravel shoulder and did not yield to the deputy's traffic stop order. The pursuit went south on I-41 as the driver continued recklessly operating across both lanes on the shoulder at high speeds.
A Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Deputy and Wisconsin State Patrol Troopers deployed tire deflation devices successfully, and the suspect vehicle lost control and hit a ditch.
The driver was taken into custody after a brief pursuit on foot, and taken to a hospital for evaluation. Once discharged, he will be transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail on felony fleeing and 1st-degree reckless endangerment charges.

No injuries were sustained by any civilians nearby, though a civilian vehicle sustained minor gravel damage. A patrol car from the County Sheriff's Office also was minorly damaged by tire debris coming off the suspect vehicle.
