Free Tubing Day returns to Ariens Hill in Titletown on Feb. 16 To help avoid damage to the garbage and recycling carts, officials say to do the following: Store Smart If possible, store carts outside or in an unheated space to avoid sudden temperature changes that can weaken the plastic. Clear Snow & Ice Keep lids and rims free of buildup to ensure smooth operation. If a resident's recycling or garbage cart does wind up being damaged, a local municipality should be contacted right away as they can manage cart repairs and replacements while also helping to get the issue resolved quickly.
