Richland County, SC (WOLO) – Richland County officials say government offices and facilities will remain closed Wednesday for normal operations. They say this decision comes as the latest weather advisory shows temperatures to remain low throughout today, making roads hazardous for travel, especially in rural areas. According to officials, Richland County Solid Waste and Recycling facilities, including the Clemson Road Drop-off Recycling Site, Lower Richland Drop-off Center and C&D Landfill, will remain closed today. Curbside solid waste collection scheduled for today will be delayed a day, and residents should expect delays in curbside collection through the weekend. County officials also say residents should leave their carts at curbside. The County’s Jim Hamilton-L.B. Owens Airport terminal and fixed base operator services are closed, pending weather and airfield conditions. Officials say county staff will continue to monitor ongoing changes and reassess the status of operations before Thursday.
